Western Kentucky’s Josh Anderson was arrested early Thursday morning on a charge of second degree disorderly conduct. According to Bowling Green Police, officers responded to a parking lot at Hilltop Club Apartments where a large crowd of people were. Officers asked the crowd to disperse but Anderson refused. Opening round games in the Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl begin across the state this evening. Class 5-A action has Christian County playing at Bowling Green. The teams last met in the playoffs two years ago with Bowling Green winning 44-29. Hopkinsville saw its season end in the semifinals of the KHSAA State Tournament falling to Highlands 2-1. The Tigers placed Xavier Bussell and Ryan Roussel on the All Tournament team in finishing the season 19-7-2. Highlands will move on to the finals to face St.X, who defeated Henry Clay 1-0. The championship game is tomorrow night in Lexington.
