Law enforcement arrest Springfield man following a pursuit out of Tennessee

Christian County law enforcement assisted in a pursuit that crossed into Kentucky from Tennessee on Interstate 24 which resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Dustin Duley of Springfield, Tennessee on Wednesday. Weather Service issues excessive heat warning

The National Weather Service in Paducah has upgraded the existing heat advisory to an excessive heat warning for portions of western Kentucky, Missouri and Illinois. In Kentucky the warning includes Christian, Trigg and Hopkins Counties as well as many other counties further west. One injured in Cadiz Road three-vehicle crash

One person was injured in a crash at the intersection of Cadiz Road and the Eagle Way Bypass Wednesday morning.  The three-vehicle collision occurred around 9:45 a.m. in the intersection, with Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers saying it sent one person to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
