Arraignment was held Monday afternoon for the man charged with murder in connection with the November 28 shooting death of Aniyah Collins in downtown Hopkinsville. Despite two wins last week, Murray State dropped from 19th to 22nd in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll. Kentucky slipped to seventh and Tennessee is 13th with Gonzaga ranked first and Arizona ranked second. In the USA Today Coaches Poll-Murray State remained 22nd with Kentucky sixth and Tennessee is 13th. Gonzaga is number one again this week.
Murray State’s KJ Williams has been selected as the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week. Williams had 30 points against Belmont and 23 points against Southeast Missouri on Saturday. The much anticipated game between Kentucky and Michigan that was scheduled in 2020 at the O2 Arena in London, England will be played next season. The game will take place Sunday, December 4th with the other game being Maine against Marist. The game was to have been played in 2020 but was postponed due to COVID.
