Suspect arrested for East 18th St. shooting

Demario White The suspect sought for a shooting incident last Wednesday on East 18th Street has been arrested. Hopkinsville police charged 32-year old Demario White of Hopkinsville with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, possession of a handgun by a felon, tampering with evidence and wanton endangerment. Ky. adds 2,558 COVID cases, 30 deaths

Kentucky added 2,558 new cases of COVID-19 from Monday to Tuesday and the positivity rate continued to rise. According to the daily update, the positivity rate is now up to 8.31 percent, up from 8.14 the day before. One flown to Nashville hospital following Hopkins Co. collision

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a man was injured in a vehicle versus moped collision on Anton Road in Madisonville Monday.
