Two hurt in Madisonville collision

Two people were injured in a crash that occurred in Madisonville Tuesday morning. According to a news release, a vehicle driven by 46-year old Jason Carl of Madisonville was heading south on Scott Street while a vehicle operated by 68-year old Michael Duncan of Dawson Springs was going east on Center Street. Longtime PRP boys basketball coach Mabrey resigns

The Courier Journal reports long time Pleasure Ridge Park boys coach Dale Mabrey announced his resignation today. Mabrey wrote in a note to the newspaper he felt it was “time for a change”. The 62-year-old Mabrey was head coach for 38 seasons at P-R-P and leaves with 937 wins, the second most in Kentucky history. Two Murray State players signed free agent contracts to play in the NFL Monday. Drew Anderson and Marquez Sanford signed undrafted free agent deals with the Arizona Cardinals and Jacksonville Jaguars, respectively. Anderson's one season at Murray State will go down as one of the most memorable in program history. UK hoops recruit Whitney to sign Friday

CBS Sports.com reports Kahlil Whitney, who’s been committed to Kentucky since last August, will sign with the Wildcats Friday. Whitney made the announcement on Twitter last night. Whitney was a McDonald’s All American this season after averaging 19.4 points for Roselle Catholic High School in New Jersey.

The 2019 Hoptown Hoppers season is 32 days away and the team is still seeking host families. The Hoppers need three families to house players for the season.
