Former UK hoopster Juzang announces six schools

Former University of Kentucky freshman Johnny Juzang has announced six schools he is considering transferring to. The six are Arizona, UCLA and Oregon of the PAC-12 along with Notre Dame, Villanova and Texas Tech. Juzang announced his intentions to transfer last Friday as he wanted to be closer to family in the Los Angeles area.

Fort Campbell has third COVID-19 patient, more troops headed to NY

Fort Campbell has had a third patient test positive for COVID-19 and additional soldiers from the local post will be deploying to New York. Ky. reports 114 new COVID-19 cases

Kentucky saw its largest single-day jump in new cases of COVID-19 and seven more Kentuckians have died from the virus. There are 114 new cases, bringing the total to 591 across the commonwealth. Hopkinsville man killed in Logan County crash

A Hopkinsville man was killed in a crash in Logan County Saturday. According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of a wreck on Franklin Road around 12: 30 p.m. Saturday.  Investigation determined that a vehicle operated by 60-year old Clarance Winslow of Hopkinsville was traveling west on Franklin Road when the vehicle dropped off the right side of the roadway. CCHD gives update, 13 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Christian Co

There are now 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Christian County. KHSAA updates status of sports today

The Kentucky High School Athletics Association announced today an update on the status of high school sports in the Commonwealth. In a news release, it was announced the Boys and Girls Sweet 16 basketball tournaments remain “ suspended” at this point along with spring sports. Hopkinsville to receive grant as part of coronavirus relief measure

Hopkinsville is one of several Kentucky communities receiving Federal Housing grant money as part of the coronavirus relief measure passed by congress. According to a news release from Mitch McConnell’s Office, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded more than $39.3 million to Kentucky communities for their response to the coronavirus.
