14-year-old struck by vehicle in Clarksville

A Clarksville teenager was flown to a Nashville hospital Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in Clarksville.

According to the Clarksville Police Department, it happened in the intersection of Black Oak Circle between an SUV and a 14-year-old bicyclist. The teen, who was reportedly not wearing a helmet, suffered injuries was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries.

That status of the child is currently unknown. 

Investigators with the Clarksville Police Department Fatal Accident Crash Team were investigating the crash.
