CCHD reports four new COVID deaths, 231 cases

The Christian County Health Department reported four new COVID deaths in the community, along with 231 new cases since last week. According to a news release, two additional deaths were also discovered in an audit of the state reporting system, so the overall death toll in Christian County is up to 125.  Information on the four deaths includes that one of the victims, a 75-year-old Caucasian female, was fully vaccinated. Todd Co. reports 14 new COVID cases

The Todd County Health Department reported 14 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday. They are 12 adults and two minors, four are vaccinated, two are connected to a congregate care setting and they are all healing at home. Eight of Todd County’s active cases are hospitalized and 51 are at home.

Ky. adds 2,510 COVID cases, 53 deaths

While the positive rate for COVID-19 in Kentucky stayed fairly stagnant, there were 2,510 cases reported Thursday, showing that the numbers stay in a decline. Eugene Poole Jr. named to UK Hall of Distinguished Alumni

Hopkinsville High School graduate and renowned architect Eugene Poole Jr. has been selected as a member of the 2020 class of the University of Kentucky Hall of Distinguished Alumni. Well over half of Kentucky hospitals are experiencing critical staffing shortage, but Governor Andy Beshear says numbers are improving.
