Gov says hospital numbers improving

Well over half of Kentucky hospitals are experiencing critical staffing shortage, but Governor Andy Beshear says numbers are improving.

During his weekly Team Kentucky briefing, he says the hospital situation remains a concern, but there’s hope things are getting better.

He says enough data has come in now to be convinced Kentucky is in a decline at this point.

In other news, Kentucky has brought back the mail-in program that allows residents to remotely renew their driver’s license.

The governor also celebrated the recent announcement by Ford to create 5,000 new jobs at a new battery plant in Hardin County by 2025 during his weekly update.
