CCHD reports four new COVID deaths, 231 cases

The Christian County Health Department reported four new COVID deaths in the community, along with 231 new cases since last week.

According to a news release, two additional deaths were also discovered in an audit of the state reporting system, so the overall death toll in Christian County is up to 125.  Information on the four deaths includes that one of the victims, a 75-year-old Caucasian female, was fully vaccinated. The three other victims were a 39-year-old African American female, a 46-year-old African American male and a 66-year-old Caucasian male, all unvaccinated.

The 231 new cases puts the overall total of cases at 10,205—of that, 344 cases are considered active and 9,737 people have recovered from the virus.
