New Years Eve severe storms cause no significant damage

A line of severe thunderstorms made its way through western Kentucky Monday afternoon and caused no significant damage. Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says there were no damages to report from the storms that came through quickly, sometimes reaching 70 miles per hour wind gusts. Titans learn 2019 opponents

The Tennessee Titans learned their 2019 opponents today. In addition to home and away games with AFC South rivals Indianapolis, Jacksonville and Houston, the Titans will host Buffalo, Kansas City, the Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans and Tampa Bay. Away games will have the Titans playing at Atlanta, Cleveland, Carolina, Denver and Oakland. Dates and times will be announced this spring.

UK’s Herro named SEC Freshman of the Week

Kentucky’s Tyler Herro was named the SEC Freshman of the Week today. Herro had a career high 24 points on 10-13 shooting in Saturday’s win at Louisville. The Milwaukee, WI native has scored in double figures in his last six games. Kentucky returns to action Saturday at Alabama, with pregame at 10:30 am on Lite Rock 98.7.

Slight risk for severe weather continues Monday afternoon

The slight risk of severe weather continues for today across western Kentucky and middle Tennessee. The National Weather Service in Paducah says severe weather will be most likely before 3 p.m., when a line of thunderstorms could move through the area. School Board will meet only once a month in 2019

The Christian County School Board has decided that they will go back to having only one meeting a month in 2019, down from the previous two times a month. Pennyrile Electric honors outgoing board members, welcomes new

Pennyrile Electric is recognizing two outgoing board members for their years of service and volunteerism. According to a news release, Dr. George Brown of Elkton and Jim Riley of Russellville have announced their plans to resign from the board. Russellville man charged with meth trafficking after gas station wreck

A Russellville man was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and several other charges following a wreck at a gas station in Russellville. According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the Five Star gas station on West Fourth Street around 1 p.m. Sunday for reports that a vehicle had backed into a pole near the gas pumps.
