Representatives of seven law enforcement agencies spent Saturday searching for the man accused of murder and arson in Stewart County and of an armed home invasion in Montgomery County. Nashville woman arrested in Guthrie for drug charges

A traffic stop in Guthrie Friday night led to the arrest of a Nashville woman on cocaine charges. Guthrie Officer Spencer Turner and Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Saunders stopped 47-year old Mikeri Williams for an equipment violation and there was an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, according to an arrest citation. An investigation Friday night regarding a fight involving guns at 18th and McKee Street in Hopkinsville led to charges against four men. Former Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church pastor, Father Gerald Baker, has been suspended permanently from public ministry. If you are intending to travel outside of the country in the future, you can now apply to get your passport at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library. Higgins Insurance is sponsoring the program that allows the library to provide this service. Girls 2nd region golf results

Following two weather delays, the Girls 2nd region tournament was finally contested Friday at Ben Hawes State Park. Daviess County was the top team at 364, with Madisonville second at 368. Both teams will advance to next week’s KHSAA State Tournament in Bowling Green. Christian County was led by Hannah Sumner’s 90, Rhegan Lindsey led University Heights with 96 and Anna Blane had 104 in leading Hopkinsville.
