The Vansauwa’s Tacos and Vegan Eats food truck was badly damaged in a fire around noon Saturday. According to Hopkinsville Fire Department Lt. Payton Rogers, crews arrived to find smoke coming from top of the trailer, and they located fire between the walls behind the grill. Third suspect charged in Clarksville fatal shooting

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in January of 2023 in Clarksville. According to the Clarksville Police Department, officers took 21-year-old Santanna McFarlan of Clarksville into custody on December 23 and they were lodged in the Montgomery County Jail. Two other suspects, 28-year-old Maleike Hamlin and 21-year-old Otis Barnes, both of Clarksville, have already been charged in connection with the shooting. As […]

Salvation Army surpasses Red Kettle Campaign donation goal

With the goal of raising $100,000 for this year’s Red Kettle Campaign, the Hopkinsville Salvation Army has surpassed their goal by raising around $109,000 so far. Salvation Army Lieutenant, Lindsey Galabeas says over the course of the campaign, which ran from November 25 to December 23, they raised around $50,000 from their kettle campaign alone and have raised around $59,000 so far through mail-in donations.
