Trigg County reports 12 new COVID cases

Trigg County had 12 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Friday to Monday. That’s according to the Pennyrile District Health Department, which reports eight are adults and four are minors and they are all healing at home. Trigg County has had 415 total cases.

Updated: CCHD reports 68 new COVID-19 cases

This story has been updated: The Christian County Health Department is reporting 68 new cases of COVID-19 Monday. That brings the overall total locally to 3,005, with 558 cases considered active and 2,402 people having recovered from the virus.  Christian County has had 45 COVID-19 related deaths.

Man found dead in field identified as Elkton man

Kentucky State Police have identified the man found dead Sunday in a field near Watermelon Road in Olmstead as an Elkton resident. KSP says 48-year old Jason Stratton of Elkton was reported as an escapee after not returning from a granted furlough from the Logan County Jail. The cause of death has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected.

Ky. to receive first vaccines in December, gains 2,124 new COVID-19 cases

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear was back with his daily briefings Monday following the Thanksgiving holiday, and he reported 2,124 new cases of COVID-19. That brings the overall total up to 179,041 in the Commonwealth, and the positivity rate increased once again to above nine percent at 9.42.
