Art Strong program coming to Elkton for middle, high school students

Registration is underway for the Art Strong academy for middle and high school students in Todd County. CCHD COVID testing schedule changes this week

Changes become effective this week to the schedule for Christian County Health Department COVID-19 testing. There will still be free drive-thru testing Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 until 11 a.m. at Tie Breaker Park and you must be in line by 10:45 to be guaranteed a test. Richmond upset ninth-ranked Kentucky 76-64 in the Bluegrass Showcase at Rupp Arena. U of L downs Prairie View A&M in Wade Houston Classic

Louisville was an easy winner over Prairie View A&M 86-64 in the Wade Houston Classic. Jay'Lyn Withers led the Cardinals with 20 points and nine boards. Carlik Jones contributed 19 points to the win. Louisville is 3-and-0 and will play Western Kentucky tomorrow, with pregame at 4:30 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Murray State crushed Division III Greenville University 173-95 Sunday at the CFSB Center. 10 Racers scored in double figures with KJ Williams leading the way with 22 and Devin Gilmore added 20. Todd Co. schools allowing switch between virtual, in-person learning for next semester

The Todd County Public School System is holding an open enrollment period through Friday afternoon allowing families to switch between in-person and virtual instruction for the new semester that begins January 4. That means students currently enrolled in in-person instruction can switch to virtual learning and those currently in the virtual plan can send their students back to a school building, assuming schools reopen January 4 as planned. 11th ranked Kentucky downed Belmont 70-50 behind 27 points and 15 rebounds from Dre’una Edwards, both career highs. UK is now 2-0 and returns to action Thursday at Kansas State. 5th ranked Louisville cruised past Eastern Kentucky 101-58 to improve to 2-0 on the season.
