Oak Grove man arrested on murder-related charges

Oak Grove police worked with the U.S. Marshals and Christian County Sheriff’s Office recently to arrest a fugitive wanted for murder-related charges. Police served a federal fugitive warrant against 39-year old Warren Broomer of Oak Grove for first-degree murder in perpetration, criminal attempted first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and burglary. CCHS Band finishes fourth, HHS sixth in state band finals

The Hopkinsville and Christian County High School bands represented the community well at the 4A state KMEA finals in Lexington Saturday. The Colonel band finished fourth overall and the Hopkinsville Band of Tigers placed sixth in the 4A finals. It was the first time ever both schools had been in the state finals together. Anderson County won the 4A state championship.

Community survey coming soon for name of new high school

The people of Christian County will soon have an opportunity to have their say on what the new consolidated high school should be called. Juvenile hurt in Todd Co. accident

A juvenile was hurt in an accident Saturday afternoon in Todd County. Deputy David Hutcheson investigated and determined a teen failed to negotiate a curve on KY 104 near Davis Mill Rd and traveled off the roadway and overturned. A juvenile passenger was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital for minor injuries. The driver and another juvenile in the vehicle were not hurt. photo from TCSO

Three women taken to Nashville hospitals after morning wreck

Three Christian County women were taken to Nashville hospitals following a two-vehicle accident Saturday morning at Bradshaw Road and John Rivers Road. A woman headed south on Bradshaw collided with a vehicle driven by woman turning from John Rivers onto Bradshaw, according to Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Nichols. Arrest made in recent burglary

An arrest has been made in connection with a recent burglary. Hopkinsville police were called to a Clay Street location to locate 49-year old Birldanstun Foxworth of Hopkinsville, who was identified in a photo as a suspect in a burglary on James Drive, where a gun and cash were stolen. Foxworth was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
