Trigg County reports another COVID death

Another COVID-19 fatality has been reported in Trigg County. The county’s 22nd COVID death is a 69-year old man, according to the Pennyrile District Health Department. They also reported 16 new cases in Trigg County—two minors and 14 adults between the ages of three and 62—all healing at home.

One injured, one arrested in Murray shooting

The Murray Police Department has arrested a juvenile in relation to a shooting at McDonald’s in Murray early Sunday morning. According to a news release, officers responded to McDonald’s around 1:30 a.m. for reports of shots fired and discovered a victim with a gunshot wound to his torso.  The victim was identified as 19-year-old Elijah Ball of Dyer, TN. Former WKU Lady Topper Brown named assistant basketball coach

photo: WKU Athletics Western Kentucky’s Lady Topper program has announced the promotion of former Lady Topper Ivy Brown to assistant coach. Brown-who played at WKU from 2014-18-has spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant and director of basketball operations. The Lady Toppers play their lone exhibition next Wednesday hosting West Virginia State.

Christian Circuit Court Clerk Paige Parker is clarifying what the transition of drivers licensing services from her office to the new regional office in downtown Hopkinsville will mean.
