After her first trial that ended with a guilty verdict and life sentence was overturned by the Kentucky Supreme Court due to prosecutorial misconduct, 36-year old Karen Brafman of Cerulean accepted a plea deal Tuesday morning that comes with a 20 year sentence. Arraignment was held Tuesday morning in Christian District Court for the man accused of fatally shooting 33-year old Christopher Montrell Mumford of Hopkinsville outside an 810 East Fourth Street home just before midnight Friday. A Cadiz man was arrested Sunday afternoon for failing to comply with the sex offender registry. Princeton police stopped 33-year old John Taylor of Cadiz for disregarding a traffic control device, according to a news release, which says a computer check showed his license is suspended and that he is a registered sex offender who has not updated his address on the registry.
