The Christian County Health Department gave an update on COVID-19 locally Wednesday, announcing 18 new confirmed cases. Kentucky’s district judges are throwing their support behind constitutional amendment two on the November 3 ballot—as it would require six more years of experience for candidates looking to become a district judge and would lengthen their term limits from four to eight years. Three people have been charged with bringing contraband into the Montgomery County Jail. Deputies received an anonymous tip that a kitchen employee with Trinity Service Group, who provides food services to inmates, was bringing in prescription narcotics to an inmate. Twenty-eight-year-old Sean Richard Dale Gartside was charged with contraband in a penal institution.
