Todd County reports three new COVID cases, one hospitalzed

Todd County reported three new confirmed coronavirus cases Wednesday. Public Health Director Jen Harris says an adult with other underlying health conditions is hospitalized with moderate to severe symptoms. That patient is connected to a previous known case and all contacts have been notified to quarantine for 14 days. CCHD gives local update on COVID-19

The Christian County Health Department gave an update on COVID-19 locally Wednesday, announcing 18 new confirmed cases. Those new cases brings the overall total to 1,355—of that, 176 are considered active and 1,156 people have recovered from the virus.  Between the health department and Jennie Stuart Health, 19,006 coronavirus tests have been administered locally, not counting other healthcare practices. Ky. sees second day of over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced 1,004 new cases of COVID-19 in the state Wednesday, along with four new deaths. It’s the first time in the pandemic that has over 1,000 new cases reported back to back. Three charged with bringing contraband into Clarksville jail

Three people have been charged with bringing contraband into the Montgomery County Jail. Deputies received an anonymous tip that a kitchen employee with Trinity Service Group, who provides food services to inmates, was bringing in prescription narcotics to an inmate. Twenty-eight-year-old Sean Richard Dale Gartside was charged with contraband in a penal institution.
