Police arrest Hopkinsville man for assaulting victim

Hopkinsville Police arrested 25-year-old Dalton Lewis of Hopkinsville after he reportedly assaulted a victim on Wednesday. Officers were dispatched to a residence on Kailie Lane for a reported assault. At the scene, officers found that Lewis reportedly assaulted the victim by striking their face and choking them. After seven years of fundraising, Murray State University has concluded its Be Bold: Forever Blue and Gold Centennial Campaign which exceeded its $100 million goal. City of Madisonville receives grant for waterline project

The City of Madisonville has been awarded a grant from the Delta Regional Authority to support a water infrastructure expansion project. According to the Pennyrile Area Development District, the $1.3 million grant will go toward the installation of a new public waterline that will serve two new developments, a regional training center and a power generation plant.
