Proceedings were continued until February 28 in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday for former Oak Grove Police Officer Ben Walden, as they await the completion of evidence testing. The Tennessee Titans announced the hiring of seven assistant coaches today, including two holdovers from Mike Mularkey’s staff. The holdovers are tight ends coach Arthur Moore and special teams coordinator Craig Aukerman. The new hires are quarterbacks coach Pat O’ Hara, wide receivers coach Rob Moore, Kerry Coombs-secondary, Shane Bowen-outside linebackers and Tyrone McKenzie-inside linebackers.

Victim ID’ed in fatal Russellville accident

Russellville Police have identified the man killed in a wreck Monday afternoon on the US 68 Bypass near Walmart. Police say 63-year old John D. Hancock of Russellville was driving a pickup on KY 178 when he collided with a semi at the intersection with the US 68 Bypass. Western Kentucky Congressman James Comer was on the Amtrak train carrying GOP lawmakers to a retreat Wednesday morning when it crashed into a garbage truck near Charlottesville, Virginia. Trial date set for Crofton arson suspects

A trial date was set Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court for the four former Crofton Volunteer Fire Department members accused of burning down a vacant building on East Main Street in August of last year.
