Man accused of damaging ATM

A man suspected of committing several burglaries in north Christian County late last year has been charged with damaging an ATM machine on two separate occasions. A Christian County Sheriff's Department arrest citation for 50-year old Joseph Scottie Parrott alleges he damaged an ATM at the United Southern Bank in Crofton on December 10th and 12th in an attempt to steal money. Over $32,000 in property was recently stolen from a business on Bypass Road. Margaret Utley told Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. James Dragoo that a 1,000 gallon propane tank, engine stands, a tire change machine, two large wall-hanging heaters, a car lift, part racks for vehicle parts and several other items were stolen from 1090 Bypass Road between December 20th and Thursday. The Christian County Sheriff’s Department cited a man Friday for cruelty to animals after they say his horses were found without proper food, water or shelter. A wreck Monday afternoon at Country Club Lane and Lafayette Road injured two people. The collision report from Hopkinsville Police says 50-year old Tammie Lynch of Hopkinsville was northbound on Lafayette Road and had a green light when she was struck by a westbound vehicle on Country Club driven by 71-year old Cynthia Davis of Hopkinsville. A single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Hawthorne Drive injured the driver. It happened about 1:40 p.m. at 709 Hawthorne, where 69-year old Norma Lewis-Walker of Hopkinsville was trying to back into a driveway when she said her gas pedal stuck and caused her to strike a shed.
