A man suspected of committing several burglaries in north Christian County late last year has been charged with damaging an ATM machine on two separate occasions. Over $32,000 in property was recently stolen from a business on Bypass Road. Margaret Utley told Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. James Dragoo that a 1,000 gallon propane tank, engine stands, a tire change machine, two large wall-hanging heaters, a car lift, part racks for vehicle parts and several other items were stolen from 1090 Bypass Road between December 20th and Thursday. The Christian County Sheriff’s Department cited a man Friday for cruelty to animals after they say his horses were found without proper food, water or shelter. A wreck Monday afternoon at Country Club Lane and Lafayette Road injured two people. A single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Hawthorne Drive injured the driver. It happened about 1:40 p.m. at 709 Hawthorne, where 69-year old Norma Lewis-Walker of Hopkinsville was trying to back into a driveway when she said her gas pedal stuck and caused her to strike a shed.
