The third annual OVL All Star Game sponsored by Jones Brothers Trucking will take place at Colonel Field this evening at 6. Motown at the Museum kicks off capital campaign

Motown at the Museum kicked off a capital campaign for renovations to the Pennyroyal Area Museum building Saturday night and they are already off to a good start. Elkton Fire Department gets new truck

For the first time in 15 years, Elkton has a new fire engine and it should greatly enhance the department’s ability to fight fires—especially outside of the city limits. The Heat Advisory for western Kentucky has been extended until 8 p.m. Sunday. The National Weather Service in Paducah says temperatures in the 90’s will mix with humidity to make the heat index climb from 100 to 105 on Sunday. Madisonville man gets second DUI after hitting car, fire hydrant, fence

Madisonville Police charged a man with DUI following a wreck Saturday morning. A news release says just before 8 a.m., 36-year old Jerome Patterson of Madisonville left West Nole Avenue, entered the Dollar General parking lot and struck a parked car and a fire hydrant. Car reported stolen on Bethel St.

Hopkinsville Police are investigating after a car was reported stolen Saturday morning on Bethel Street. John Bussell told Hopkinsville Police that his blue 2013 Hyundai Sonata was stolen from 1412 Bethel sometime around midnight. The car is valued about $8,000.

Warrant: Workplace dispute led to burglary

A workplace disagreement led to an alleged incident earlier this month that ended with the arrest of a Hopkinsville man for burglary. An arrest warrant for 36-year old Ryan Barnett of Hopkinsville says the victim had been fired from his place of employment and believed it was because of lies told by Barnett.
