Louisville hoops gets first 2019 commit

Louisville's new coaching staff is welcoming the first commitment for the Class of 2019. Josh Nickelberry pledged to play for the Cardinals after a visit earlier this month. Nickelberry is a 6-foot-4 guard from North Carolina. He picked Chris Mack's program over North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech, among others.

HPD investigating apartment burglaries

Hopkinsville police are investigating a burglary that occurred at several East 18th Street apartments Thursday afternoon. According to the police report, an unknown suspect or suspects entered three apartments forcefully and stole multiple items of personal property. The items had a total value of $1,950.  No suspects are listed on the report and the incident is being investigated as second-degree burglary.
