Trigg County’s Bush honored by 2nd region baseball coaches

Trigg County’s Tim Bush was selected as 2nd region Coach of the Year this week by the region’s coaches. Bush led Trigg County to a 19-12 record this season including a berth in the 2nd region tournament where the Wildcats defeated Hopkinsville in the opening round before bowing to Union County Wednesday night in the semifinals.

Austin Peay beginning search for new athletics director

Austin Peay is beginning the search for a new athletics director. The school announced that Mayfield native Ryan Ivey, who has been on the job since 2015, is leaving to become the new AD at Stephen F. Austin of the Southland Conference. An interim AD will be named with a search to begin for Ivey's replacement.

Recent Murray State grad and basketball standout Jonathan Stark received his award as the OVC Male Athlete of the Year and legendary Austin Peay basketball coach and athletics director Dave Loos was named to the OVC Hall of Fame.
