Man arrested for meth trafficking in Earlington

An investigation Friday in Earlington led to the arrest of a man on several methamphetamine-related charges. Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Angela Hopper saw 23-year old Jeremy Massey and knew him to be wanted on warrants, according to a news release. Deputy Robert Toombs stopped an SUV driven by 29-year old Amanda Davenport on Lickskillet Road about 1 a.m. and noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. John Hughart, longtime funeral home owner and former coroner, dies

John Hughart, who owned funeral homes in Christian County for over 50 years and who served as coroner in the 1970’s, died Wednesday at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 90. Hughart moved to Hopkinsville in 1964 and became the owner of Hughart-Keightley Funeral Home. One hospitalized after house fire

A house fire on Hilltop Drive from Sunday afternoon is under investigation by the Hopkinsville Police and Fire departments and one person was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Hopkinsville firefighters responded to 219 Hilltop and EMS transported one patient to the hospital for evaluation, according to Captain Michael Pendleton. Fire damages Todd County home

Photos provided Fire did heavy damage to a home on Highland Lick Road in Todd County Sunday morning. No one was injured in the blaze, but the home in the 2500 block took on significant damage, according to information provided by Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters from Sharon Grove, Honey Grove, Fairview and Clifty responded to the blaze.

HPD investigating felony theft

Hopkinsville Police are investigating after property was stolen at a Fort Campbell Boulevard location Thursday. JD Allen tells Hopkinsville Police that someone stole about $1,200 worth of tools and other property from a building at 4580 Fort Campbell Boulevard between 9 and 10 a.m. Thursday. No suspects are named on the felony theft report.
