CCHD reports county’s 14th COVID-19 related death

The Christian County Health Department is reporting Christian County’s 14th COVID-19 related death Monday and the county saw 16 new confirmed cases. The death is listed as an 85-year old white male victim with other underlying health conditions—the 16 new cases are since the last report on Saturday, bringing the total locally to 888.  There are 238 active cases and 636 people have recovered from the virus. Seventh COVID-19 death announced in Todd County

Another Todd County resident with COVID-19 has died and there are three new cases there to report. The fatality marks seven in Todd County since the pandemic began. Ky. sees 381 new COVID cases, new orders on childcare

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear made an announcements concerning aid to childcare facilities during Monday’s press conference and announce 381 new COVID-19 cases. That puts the overall total of cases in the state at 48,396, and the positivity rate has remained somewhat steady at 4.42 percent. UK names Jai Lucas as assistant coach

Former Georgetown basketball coach Thompson dies

photo credit: Wikipedia Tributes are pouring in on social media following the death this morning of former Georgetown coach John Thompson at age 78. He led the Hoyas to three NCAA Final Fours in the 1980’s, winning the 1984 national championship. Thompson developed players who are now in the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame including Patrick Ewing. Allen Iverson, Alonzo Mourning and Dikembe Mutombo.
