CCHD reports county’s 14th COVID-19 related death

The Christian County Health Department is reporting Christian County’s 14th COVID-19 related death Monday and the county saw 16 new confirmed cases.

The death is listed as an 85-year old white male victim with other underlying health conditions—the 16 new cases are since the last report on Saturday, bringing the total locally to 888.  There are 238 active cases and 636 people have recovered from the virus.

Broken down into age groups there are 63 active cases in the pediatric group, 133 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 36 in the older adult category and six in the elderly age group.

Due to forecasted inclement weather for Tuesday, the department is cancelling their drive thru testing site at Tie Breaker Park. Testing at Tie Breaker Park will resume Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
