Walmart shooting incident case heads to grand jury

The case of James Martin, the man accused in the shooting that occurred at the Hopkinsville Walmart on August 23, is now heading the grand jury for consideration. An Alabama man was arrested Sunday by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department following a pursuit on I-24. Two hurt in multi-vehicle Madisonville Road wreck

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a multi-vehicle wreck on Madisonville Road Sunday that sent two people to the hospital. Car stolen Sunday on East Ninth Street

Hopkinsville police are investigating the theft of a car on East Ninth Street Sunday. Someone stole a white 2007 Chevy Impala valued at about $5,000, according to the report filed with HPD. The incident happened in the 200 block of East Ninth between 2 and 4:30 p.m.

UK lands huge 2021 football commitment

The top player in the state of Kentucky in the 2021 recruiting class chose the Kentucky Wildcats last night. Frederick Douglass offensive lineman Jager Burton made his decision to play for the hometown Wildcats, choosing Kentucky over Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and Oregon. The 6-4, 271 pound Burton is considered a four star consensus recruit.
