A Cadiz woman was killed in a vehicle versus pedestrian accident Monday in Lyon County. COVID numbers dropping in Kentucky

Kentucky had less cases of COVID-19 last week than the week before and the state’s positivity rate seems to be falling faster than the case numbers. CCHS Jazz Band to play community concert at Alhambra

The Christian County High School Jazz Band will host a community performance as a send-off for the student musicians on Tuesday. Murray State near AP Top 25, UK moves up in both major polls

Murray State is ranked 27th in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll which has Auburn and Gonzaga ranked first and second respectively. Kentucky is ranked fifth following its win over Kansas-who is 10th this week and Tennessee is ranked 22nd. Kentucky is seventh in the USA Today Coaches Poll with Gonzaga ranked first. Tennessee is ranked 20th in the poll.

Iona coach Pitino endorses Kenny Payne for U of L job

Iona coach Rick Pitino got his 800th career win this weekend and said following the game he wants to win 200 more for the Gaels. The Courier Journal also reports Pitino as saying he’s hopeful Kenny Payne will be chosen as the next coach at Louisville. Payne-currently an assistant with the NBA’s New York Knicks-played for the Cardinals and coached with John Calipari at Kentucky.

A single vehicle accident Sunday night on Frank Yost Lane injured the driver.
