Kentucky has already exceeded the record for number of new coronavirus cases in a week with one day left to go. Two people were injured and one was flown to a Nashville hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Fort Campbell Boulevard near I-24 Friday afternoon. A man was killed and a woman injured in an accident involving a motorcycle Saturday afternoon in Clarksville. It happened about 3 p.m. and Clarksville police say a Harley Davidson operated by a 32-year old man was headed toward Rossview Road on Warfield Boulevard and a pickup was traveling the other direction. Hopkinsville police are investigating an armed robbery from Friday night on Poplar Street. The 61-year old male victim told officers he was walking when he was approached from behind near East 18th Street about 10:15 p.m. by three male suspects in a vehicle armed with a pistol. They demanded the victim’s money and then fled the scene, according to the report, which does not list any description of the suspects.
Clarksville police are investigating a shooting incident from early Saturday morning. Detective Michael Patterson says a 33-year old man was shot about 1 a.m. at a location near Fort Campbell Boulevard and Tobacco Road. The man was taken to a hospital and his condition is unknown. Anyone with information on the incident should call Clarksville Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS.
