Kentucky received good news Wednesday as quarterback Joey Gatewood is eligible to play for the Wildcats this season. Gatewood transferred from Auburn and had participated in spring and fall workouts while awaiting word about his status from the NCAA and SEC. He will have three years of eligibility remaining. Western Kentucky’s basketball team was to participate in the Cayman Islands Classic this season.
