Seven test positive for COVID-19 at Elkton nursing home

Seven residents of Hearthstone Place Long Term Care in Elkton tested positive for COVID-19 Friday. All seven have other underlying health conditions, according to the Todd County Health Department. Their contacts have been notified to quarantine for 14 days. Todd County is up to 66 total cases, with 18 active and 48 recovered.

Ky. gains 778 COVID-19 cases, sees decrease in positivity rate

Kentucky gained 778 additional cases of COVID-19, according to Governor Andy Beshear, who also announced four new deaths. The positivity rate decreased once again, down to 5.43 percent—approximately 629,706 coronavirus tests have been performed in Kentucky so far. Portion of Country Club Lane to close for pedestrian bridge installment

Portions of Country Club Lane will close next week to allow for installation of the pedestrian bridge that is part of the Greenway System. CCHD reports 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19

The Christian County Health Department is reporting 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Thursday to Friday. Ohio River Bridge at Cairo to close for a month, beginning Saturday

Anyone planning to drive to southeast Missouri in the next month should be aware that the U.S. 51 Ohio River “Cairo” Bridge in southern Illinois will be closed for about a month, beginning 6:30 Saturday morning. The bridge is expected to remain closed to around August 31 to allow extensive maintenance work along a nearly two-mile section of the Kentucky approach levee, according to a news release. The St. Louis Cardinals opening game of a weekend series at Milwaukee this afternoon has been postponed as sources report positive COVID-19 among the Cardinals team. SEC to use team’s strength of schedule to fill slots on 2020 football schedule

Kentucky Sports Radio reports the Southeastern Conference will reportedly use each team’s strength of schedule to determine the two other opponents in the 10 game conference only schedule.
