Trigg County has one new confirmed coronavirus case. The 71-year old female is isolated at home, according to the Pennyrile District Health Department. Trigg County has 45 total cases, with 39 having recovered.
Seven residents of Hearthstone Place Long Term Care in Elkton tested positive for COVID-19 Friday. All seven have other underlying health conditions, according to the Todd County Health Department. Their contacts have been notified to quarantine for 14 days. Todd County is up to 66 total cases, with 18 active and 48 recovered.
Kentucky gained 778 additional cases of COVID-19, according to Governor Andy Beshear, who also announced four new deaths. The positivity rate decreased once again, down to 5.43 percent—approximately 629,706 coronavirus tests have been performed in Kentucky so far. Portions of Country Club Lane will close next week to allow for installation of the pedestrian bridge that is part of the Greenway System. The Christian County Health Department is reporting 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Thursday to Friday. Anyone planning to drive to southeast Missouri in the next month should be aware that the U.S. 51 Ohio River “Cairo” Bridge in southern Illinois will be closed for about a month, beginning 6:30 Saturday morning.
