Flash Flood Watch until midnight

For the second consecutive day, a flash flood watch has been issued by the National Weather Service in Paducah for all of western Kentucky until midnight. Most of the area will see one-to-three inches of rainfall, though higher amounts will be possible in locations that see multiple storms train over one area. Motorists should be on the lookout for standing water in the usual places and remember—turn around, don’t drown.

Todd County has 59th confirmed COVID-19 case

Todd County has a 59th confirmed case of COVID-19. The adult with underlying health conditions is in a congregate setting with moderate symptoms, according to the Todd County Health Department. The patient is not connected to any previous known cases and contacts have been notified to quarantine for 14 days. Eleven of Todd County’s 59 cases are active and the other 48 have recovered.

Body found in field identified as Clarksville man

Identification has been made on the human remains found Saturday morning in a field near Barkers Mill and Bumpus Mills Road. Christian County Deputy Coroner Christy Adams says a search of missing person reports and use of dental records was able to help identify the body as 39-year old Jason Littleton of Clarksville. Twelve new cases of COVID-19 reported in Christian, decrease in active cases

The Christian County Health Department reported 12 new confirmed overall cases of COVID-19, but also a decrease in active cases. That’s according to Thursdays update, which shows 169 active cases, which is down 11 active cases from Wednesday—to date, 364 people have recovered from the virus, with 539 cases overall since the pandemic began locally.  Christian County has now had six COVID-19 related deaths. Gov. says data could show deescalation, reports 659 new COVID-19 cases

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced 659 new cases in the state during Thursday’s update, and says that the state may be getting the escalation under control. Those 659 new cases puts the overall total at 29,386 and Governor Beshear encouraged everyone to keep up those well-known health guidelines, especially making sure you are wearing a mask and frequently washing your hands.  The positivity rate is sitting at 5.66 percent, so […]

McCracken County-Paducah Tilghman will not play this season

For the first time since the school’s inception, McCracken County and Paducah Tilghman will not meet on the gridiron this year. Reports indicate the two schools tried to work out a game on October 9th, but Paducah Tilghman opted for a road game at Mayfield that week. Kentucky 2-A delaying some championships until 2021

The Kentucky 2-A Championships announced today they are canceling until 2021 the addition of soccer and volleyball to its championship group of events. The board announced in a social media post that because of no spring sports and delayed fall sports that the baseball and softball championships will also begin in 2021 along with the fall sports championships.
