UK gets by Vandy in OT

Kentucky’s Quade Green hit the game winning shot with five seconds left as the Wildcats knocked off Vanderbilt 83-81 in overtime. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped a season-high 30 points for the Wildcats, who have won three in-a-row and are 6-and-3 in SEC action and 17-and-5 overall. The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday at Missouri with pregame at 11:30 am on Lite Rock 98.7.

Predators fall to Blackhawks

Kyle Turris scored the Nashville Predators lone goal of the night in their 2-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. After winning five straight, the Preds' have now dropped two of three. Despite the loss, Nashville is still second in the Central Division. The Predators are back in action tomorrow night hosting the Los Angeles Kings at 7 in Bridgestone Arena.

HPD arrests man for third DUI

A Hopkinsville man was arrested by city police Tuesday morning for his third DUI. Officers received a tip that 27-year old Shycorian Bailey of Hopkinsville was driving while intoxicated in the area of North Kentucky Avenue about 8 a.m. and they found him pulling into his driveway on East 18th Street. There were several last-minute filings for elected offices in Todd County Tuesday. Randy Thomas filed for Todd Fiscal Court Magistrate in District 2 as a Democrat and will compete in a three-way Democratic primary against Marvin Chandler and Travis Combs. A trial date was postponed Tuesday in Todd Circuit Court for 70-year old Carson Moore, the man accused of nearly beating his 67-year old wife to death last summer at their Old Trenton Road home.
