Officials break ground on new plastic facility in Hopkins County

Hopkins County officials were joined by Governor Andy Beshear to break ground on E. Hofmann Packaging’s new production facility on Tuesday. E. Hofmann Packaging is a Canadian-based company that was established in 1984. The manufacturer produces plastic containers, lids and buckets. Two-vehicle accident in Ohio County results in teenager’s death

Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal wreck that occurred in Ohio County and resulted in the death of a teenage driver early Wednesday morning. The wreck occurred on U.S. Highway 62 west of Beaver Dam. A 17-year-old minor of McHenry was traveling east on the highway while 28-year-old Diana Sanchez was traveling west. A Crofton woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on William Lile Road.
