Johns retiring as Todd County Attorney Sep. 30, Mark Collins to fill term

Monday will mark the first time since January of 1990 that Harold “Mac” Johns will wake up and not be the Todd County Attorney. LSU’s Davis dies in shooting

LSU junior standout Wayde Davis died after being shot early this morning near the Southern University campus. WAFB-TV in New Orleans says the shooting took place around 12:25 am, with the 20-year-old Davis taken to a Baton Rouge hospital where he died. The investigation is continuing.

Europe has pulled off a historic performance at the Ryder Cup. The home team completed its first shutout in any session since 1989 and its first sweep ever in foursomes. Demolition derby returns to the fairgrounds Saturday

Even though the Western Kentucky State Fair has come and gone this year, the fairgrounds in Hopkinsville will be filled with the sounds of another demolition derby Saturday. Two hurt in Madisonville crash

Two people were hurt in an accident Thursday in Madisonville. It happened a few minutes after 3 p.m., according to Madisonville Police, which says 17-year old Jacob Manis of Madisonville was headed north on Main Street approaching the intersection with YMCA Drive. Hopkinsville Police served a local man with a warrant for a drug offense Thursday and investigation led to new charges.
