Man charged with third DUI following Boulevard crash

A Hopkinsville man is facing his third-offense DUI charge following a wreck with injuries in the 9000 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard Sunday morning. Blazers win Traditional Bank Holiday Classic

University Heights defeated Newport 85-59 to win the Traditions Bank Holiday Classic last night in Lexington. Xavier signee KyKy Tandy was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. The Blazers improved to 13-2 on the season. By the way, the Blazers are ranked 18th in the first Cantrall Top 25 rankings of the season from the Lexington Herald Leader. Scott County is ranked number one.

The Tennessee Titans will not make the NFL playoffs as they fell to the Indianapolis Colts 33-17 last night in Nashville. Marcus Mariota did not play due to a stinger. Vehicle stolen from East Ninth Street

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating the theft of a GMC pickup from the area of East Ninth Street. According to the police report, the pickup truck valued at approximately $5,000 was reportedly stolen from the 600 block of East Ninth sometime Saturday afternoon. It is described as a tan, small conventional cab pickup truck with a step-side bed. A suspect’s name and description is redacted on the police report.

Ware has big day for Jacksonville State Saturday

Former Christian County standout Detorrion Ware had a career high 20 points for Jacksonville State in their 109-77 win over Reinhart on Saturday. Ware was 7-13 from the floor and 6-11 from three point range. The Gamecocks open OVC play Thursday night at Belmont then play at Tennessee State Saturday night.
