University Heights defeated Newport 85-59 to win the Traditions Bank Holiday Classic last night in Lexington. Xavier signee KyKy Tandy was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. The Blazers improved to 13-2 on the season.
By the way, the Blazers are ranked 18th in the first Cantrall Top 25 rankings of the season from the Lexington Herald Leader. Scott County is ranked number one.
