Police: Seizure caused driver to crash through Madisonville pharmacy

A medical condition led to a man’s vehicle crashing through a Madisonville pharmacy Saturday morning and he was flown to an Evansville hospital. Madisonville Police say 52-year old Samuel Crawford of Madisonville had been northbound on South Main Street shortly after 10 a.m. when he experienced a seizure. Warrant: Man stole chainsaws, wrenches from Lowe’s

Hopkinsville Police arrested a Clarksville man Friday who is accused of multiple felony thefts from the local Lowe’s. An arrest warrant for two counts of felony theft and one count of misdemeanor theft says that on October 20th and December 9th, 42-year old Jeffery Walker walked out of Lowe’s with two chainsaws. A Hopkinsville woman was charged with felony assault early Saturday morning after her husband required medical treatment following a disturbance on North Clay Street. Man killed in accident near Fredonia

A single vehicle accident just north of Fredonia in Crittenden County Friday night killed the driver. Alleyne chosen as New Era editor

The Kentucky New Era has promoted Zirconia Alleyne as its new editor. She assumed those duties Friday, according to a story on the front page of Saturday’s paper. The 29-year old Alleyne is a graduate of Hopkinsville High School and Western Kentucky University and has worked at the New Era since February of 2013—most recently serving as features editor.
