Max Preps.com has announced its Kentucky All State Boys basketball teams. Madisonville’s Kenny White and McCracken County’s Jackson Sivills received first team honors. Marshall County’s Zion Harmon was named second team with Warren Central’s Dre Boyd named to the third team.

Officials with the London Showcase say the Kentucky-Michigan game scheduled for December in London’s O2 Arena is as of now going to be played as scheduled. That’s according to a news release issued today. Marist and the University of Maryland-Baltimore County will also play in the doubleheader.

NBA formulating a post season plan

The New York Post reports according to multiple sources, NBA executives are still hoping of arranging a one-site, fan-less, 16-team playoff and a five-to-seven-game regular-season prelude once the coronavirus pandemic is over. Las Vegas seems to be the top option because the NBA has hosted summer league events there. Other cities being mentioned include Louisville.

NFL playoff field to expand beginning this season

As part of the new NFL bargaining agreement recently announced, the league announced today the expansion of the post season beginning with the 2020 season. This means there will be 14 teams to qualify for the playoffs with one additional wild card team in each conference. The top seed in each conference will have a first round bye. It’s the first playoff expansion since 1990.
