Three killed, multiple injured in I-24 crash in Livingston County

Pedestrian killed in collision on the Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkins Co.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is releasing details a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian collision that occurred on the Pennyrile Parkway Monday afternoon.  According to a news release, it happened just before 3:45 p.m. near the 29-mile-marker, just north of the Christian County line. Single-vehicle wreck results in possible injuries

A single-vehicle wreck on North Virginia Street resulted in possible injuries on Sunday. According to a report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, Karen Meacham of Hopkinsville turned left onto North Virginia Street from the Food Giant parking lot. As she was turning, she reportedly, cut her steering wheel too sharp and collided with a pole. Meacham was reportedly transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for possible injuries.

HPD investigating assault of two women on Walnut Street

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after two women were reportedly assaulted Saturday night on Walnut Street.  According to the incident report, two women were at a business in the 1400 block of Walnut around 1:45 a.m. when an unknown suspect struck them in the head with a pistol, causing apparent injuries. No suspect is listed on the report and the incident is being investigated as second-degree assault.
