The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is releasing details a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian collision that occurred on the Pennyrile Parkway Monday afternoon.  According to a news release, it happened just before 3:45 p.m. near the 29-mile-marker, just north of the Christian County line. The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after two women were reportedly assaulted Saturday night on Walnut Street.  According to the incident report, two women were at a business in the 1400 block of Walnut around 1:45 a.m. when an unknown suspect struck them in the head with a pistol, causing apparent injuries. No suspect is listed on the report and the incident is being investigated as second-degree assault.
