KSP: Call of shooting in Cadiz appears to have been a hoax

What began as an investigation into a possible shooting incident Sunday evening in Cadiz is now believed to have been a hoax. Kentucky State Trooper Jay Thomas says Trigg County Dispatch received a call just after 5 p.m. about a possible shooting on Jefferson Street. A Hopkinsville woman is charged with felony assault after she allegedly threw a glass bottle that cut her boyfriend during a dispute early Saturday morning at the Colonial Motel on North Main Street. Chief Humble remembered at Guthrie fundraiser

Crowds gathered in downtown Guthrie Saturday to remember police chief Matthew Humble and to raise money for his family. Humble died last month after a battle with liver cancer and friends organized the fundraiser event soon after his diagnosis. Severe weather threat exists Monday night across region

There is increasing confidence that western Kentucky and middle Tennesee will see severe weather Monday night.
