U of L quarterback Travis to transfer

University of Louisville freshman quarterback Jordan Travis has left the team. The Courier Journal reports coach Bobby Petrino as indicating Travis wants to play closer to his home. The West Palm Beach, FL native appeared in three games this season throwing for 71 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 40 yards. The Cardinals play at Clemson at 11 am on Saturday.

UT’s Neyland Stadium renovations on hold

University of Tennessee athletic director Phillip Fulmer announced today renovation plans for Neyland Stadium are in a holding pattern. The Knoxville News Sentinel reports Fulmer says all aspects of the renovation are under review and it’s not known when construction will begin according to a news release from the school.

The Nashville Predators play at the Tampa Bay Lightning this evening. The Preds will not have the services of Zac Rinaldo, who is suffering from a lower body injury and did not make the trip. Pickup ruptures gas line in Todd County

Congressman James Comer made a stop in Elkton on the campaign trail Thursday morning and talked trade, tariffs and the farm bill. Kentucky Utilities looking to raise electric rates

Kentucky Utilities customers in the Crofton area and in surrounding counties may soon see their rates jump. The utility company is asking the Public Service Commission to approve a rate increase of just over eight percent. The increase would equal about $9 a month for the average customer, which Kentucky Utilities says it would invest in infrastructure upgrades.
