Kentucky Utilities customers in the Crofton area and in surrounding counties may soon see their rates jump.
The utility company is asking the Public Service Commission to approve a rate increase of just over eight percent.
The increase would equal about $9 a month for the average customer, which Kentucky Utilities says it would invest in infrastructure upgrades.
