The Governors will have their first scrimmage August 11th and open the season September 1st against Georgia in Athens. Murray State is also less than 30 days from their season opener as the Racers welcome Southern Illinois to Roy Stewart Stadium on August 30th.
The Kentucky Wildcats continue prepping for their trip to the Bahamas next week. The 'Cats will play four exhibition games at the Atlantis Imperial Arena. Coach John Calipari said yesterday he plans to experiment with his lineups during the trip.
WBKO-Bowling Green reports Western Kentucky’s Lady Toppers will play in the Vancouver Showcase November 22-24. WKU is one of five teams confirmed in the field along with South Carolina, Oregon State, Gonzaga and Drake. The Lady Toppers were 24-9 last season and have a new head coach in Greg Collins.

Clarksville Police are investigating a shooting incident from early Thursday morning that put the victim in a Nashville hospital.
