Austin Peay players report for fall camp today with the first workout scheduled for tomorrow. The Governors will have their first scrimmage August 11th and open the season September 1st against Georgia in Athens. Murray State is also less than 30 days from their season opener as the Racers welcome Southern Illinois to Roy Stewart Stadium on August 30th.

WKU Lady Toppers to play in Vancouver, BC this season

WBKO-Bowling Green reports Western Kentucky’s Lady Toppers will play in the Vancouver Showcase November 22-24. WKU is one of five teams confirmed in the field along with South Carolina, Oregon State, Gonzaga and Drake. The Lady Toppers were 24-9 last season and have a new head coach in Greg Collins.

Titans back to work Wednesday

The Tennessee Titans were back on the field yesterday after getting Tuesday off. Rookie outside linebacker Harold Landry recorded multiple sacks against the first-team offensive line and looks to be earning playing time. Safety Jonathan Cyprien left practice early with a knee injury, and Malcolm Butler sat out after turning his ankle on Monday. The Titans play their first preseason game a week from tonight at Green Bay.

Clarksville Police are investigating a shooting incident from early Thursday morning that put the victim in a Nashville hospital.
