Man charged with murder in Webster Co. stabbing

One man was killed and another is arrested following a stabbing in Webster County Monday night. According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to the intersection of KY 270 and KY 874 around 10 p.m. for reports that a man had been stabbed. Travis yet to practice with Kentucky basketball

The Lexington Herald Leader reports Reid Travis has yet to begin practice with the Kentucky basketball team despite being on campus. A UK spokesman says Travis has not started workouts because he has not been admitted to the UK graduate school program. However, that is expected be completed soon and is just a formality. Travis came to UK as a graduate transfer from Stanford.

Williamson County DA recuses herself in Austin Watson case

The Tennessean reports the Williamson County district attorney has recused herself in the case involving Nashville Predator Austin Watson. Kim Helper is married to Predators senior vice president and senior advisor Gerry Helper. The 26-year-old Watson is scheduled to appear in court on a domestic violence charge on July 24th.
