Man charged with murder in Webster Co. stabbing

One man was killed and another is arrested following a stabbing in Webster County Monday night.

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to the intersection of KY 270 and KY 874 around 10 p.m. for reports that a man had been stabbed. Investigation determined that 23-year old Christopher Johnson of Dawson Springs allegedly stabbed 26-year old George Burchett of Sebree multiple times.

Burchett was declared deceased at the scene by the Webster County Coroner.

Johnson was arrested and charged with murder and the investigation continues.
