Preds sign three new players

The Nashville Predators are bringing in three new players at the start of free-agency. Nashville signed Connor Brickley and Rocco Grimaldi to one-year deals worth 650-thousand dollars. The Preds also signed former first-round pick Jarred Tinordi.

2018 WKSF boasts highest attendance since 2014

This year’s Western Kentucky State Fair boasted the highest attendance of any fair since 2014. Fair Board President Tony Meacham says 34,719 people attended this year, surpassing last year’s total by 259. Pursuit ends with collision involving Christian Co. deputy

A pursuit of a car involved in an alleged burglary on Old Fruithill Road Sunday afternoon ended with a wreck involving a Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy inside the city limits of Hopkinsville. Pursuit in Calloway, Marshall counties ends with arrest

A wanted fugitive has been arrested after vehicle and foot pursuits Saturday night in Calloway and Marshall counties. A Calloway County deputy saw a slow-moving vehicle on Cross Spann Road and recognized it to be connected with Derek Lynn Stalls of Murray—a fugitive that the department has been seeking. Woman hurt in Madisonville accident

A two-vehicle accident Sunday morning in Madisonville injured one of the drivers. A news release says 21-year old Janey Vanmatre of Madisonville was southbound on Hanson Road about 9:40 a.m. When she attempted to change lanes, she struck another southbound automobile operated by 71-year old Trena Washington of Madisonville. Vanmatre was taken to Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville for treatment of injuries. No one else was hurt.
