Tilghman hires former HHS star Patton as girls’ hoops coach

Former Hopkinsville High School basketball star Josiah Patton has been named the head girls’ basketball coach at Paducah Tilghman.  The school made the announcement Tuesday afternoon its Facebook page.  Patton helped lead Hoptown to three straight Region 2 championships playing for Tim Haworth. It’s game on for CCHS’s football season opener against Cooper at Stadium

UHA’s Courtland Gibson commits to Frontier Community College

University Heights Academy senior catcher Courtland Gibson has committed to Frontier Community College in Fairfield, Ill.  The UHA star announced his commitment on social media late last month.  Gibson helped lead the Blazers to the Region 2 championship in 2026. As a junior Gibson hit .323 with 24 RBI.  Gibson also handled the pitching staff which had a 3.43 ERA in 2026.  He is the second UHA baseball player to commit.
